SWIM FIT (Ages 6-16) This program is for swimmers who have completed the swim lesson program or equivalent, have previous summer (recreation) swimming experience, or cannot make the commitment towards the year-round team. This is not learn to swim or swimming lessons. ALL new swimmers to the program must be evaluated by the Director of Competitive Swimming for placement into the Swim Fit Program. Please email Coach Hilary at hilary@randolphymca.org for an evaluation. Anyone who has previously participated in Swim Fit DOES NOT need an evaluation. Swimmers must be comfortable swimming in the 25 meter Main Pool and should have knowledge and experience in all 4 strokes. Swimmers should be able to complete a 100m swim without stopping. The program is designed to offer stroke correction, aerobic development, and competitive swimming skills to increase the ability level of the swimmers. Swimmers will be given practices that include warm up, skill practice, training sets, and time to work on skills such as diving, turns, etc. They will be introduced to racing principles. *Anyone with hair long enough to put in a pony tail must wear a swim cap*
