In a pool of YMCA locations, there was nothing enticing about the Randolph YMCA’s website to draw new members to “dive in.”

During the 2016 General Assembly held in Kansas City, Sociy chose the New Jersey location for a free website makeover, valued at $20,000, as part of a contest to help build a stronger website for a deserving YMCA location.

“Sociy has been dedicated to supporting our community YMCA’s for seven years and wanted to demonstrate this commitment by identifying a website that was outdated and didn't reflect the great things they were doing to impact their community, so that we could help,” said Jeremy Weedman, VP of Sales for Sociy. “We has a lot of entries for out contest, but in the end we chose the Randolph YMCA because there were so many unique features that the public would never know about unless it stepped into their doors.”

A quick tour of Randolph’s website showed some of the basic information, such as the house of operation and contact numbers. What was noticeably absent from the site was Randolph’s unique Warm Water Pool with Underwater Treadmills of Dolphin Swim Class for special needs members. The location even offers an exclusive Randolph Middle School After Care Program geared towards getting students active that was minimally features on the old site.

Sociy recognized that this YMCA could make a greater splash with an enhanced online presents and immediately selected it for the free upgrade.

“People’s first contact with most organizations is through a website, and one of    Randolph’s major goals is community involvement,” Weedman said. “We were able to bring our experience building top-notch YMCA sites to give Randolph a viable online presence that not only showcases what makes it unique, but potentially draws more people to help them achieve that goal.”

For nearly a decade, Sociy has been providing powerful YMCA websites to locations such as Austin, TX, Greenville, SC, and St. Louis (now Gateway Region YMCA).

“We couldn't be more thankful for Sociy for choosing us to upgrade our site,” said Bill Lamia, CEO of the Randolph YMCA. “We are so excited to have the opportunity to reach everyone, members and non-members alike, on all platforms to show them we are committed to offering them programs to build a healthy spirit, mind and body.
