The Randolph YMCA hosted a “Be a Hero” fundraising event on Sunday, April 12 to benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign. Funds raised will send a child to Y camp through the Y’s Annual Campaign which provide scholarships for community members who otherwise could not afford Y membership or programs. The first-ever of an annual event, “Be a Hero” raised $1,165, which will send a child to camp for almost five weeks. Instructors, dressed as superheroes, donated their time as well as healthy refreshments after the event. Participants were encouraged to dress as superheroes as well.
